Cleaning out while on holiday

What are people's experiences on cleaning out for fisting when travelling abroad? I usually use a silicone shower attachment and adjust the water pressure and temperature so that I can repeatedly wash out until I'm totally clean.

This can take an hour or so depending on my diet.

My concern is when travelling to countries where you're advised not to drink the tap water. Is it still safe to clean out your insides with water that you're not supposed to be drinking?

I could use bottled water and an old fashioned enema but this would be slower and more of a hassle when doing a really deep clean.

It probably best avoided, even if it’s a massive hassle. Although it probably depends the reason it’s not drinkable. Heavy metals probably wouldn’t have much effect if it’s a one off, but untreated water with potential for bacteria and parasites could give you the shits 😕
