Guilty!  If I happen across a profile for someone who is just breathtaking, I'll send an Oink or maybe a form message that basically says "Hey, I find you incredibly hot.  I'm far away but sometimes I travel for business/pleasure.   Or if you find yourself in my area, keep me in mind."  Similarly, I find myself in different parts of the state or perhaps they might.  So I'll always email a guy and we might buddy list each other for future reference.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind the compliment if they sent one. I’ve just had a few guys message me/oink me then go “come fly out to Georgia so we can have fun” not “if you’re ever out this way, hit me up.” 
 

 

sorry I’m not spending hundreds of dollars on a plane ticket and hotel costs to go meet some random dude from the internet. Hell I don’t even have the money to do so. And if I did, there are plenty of places within the U.S. I’d rather go see haha.

That's my hard-and-fast rule: If I need to involve my travel agent in my sex life, it's not happening. I broke that rule exactly one time when I wasn't in a great frame of mind.

There's a much longer story about the early days of the internet, early Instant Messaging Apps, exposing a Catfish (before that was even a term) and how I wound up in a remote part of West Texas that I might post another time.

Same. I think it comes down to a numbers game. More bottoms than tops, and horny bottoms at that. I specifically state that "I'm a bottom and will not fuck you" and it doesn't matter, bottoms desperate to get fucked will message.

I don't know if they read the profile or if they just see you online and take a shot because the worse that can happen is they get turned down. It may just be a situation like spamming: send out a dozen messages and hope for at least one reply to make it all worth it.

Short answer? Rarely, especially closeted bottoms. Not sure who’s hitting you up, but most of the guys I get are horny and desperate suburban guys married to women. My guess is that they are hoping that if they keep hit every profile maybe someone will fuck them.
