There is a quote that goes , “Scent is the strongest tie to memory”. Some of my earliest sexual experiences as a child happened in basements and cellars. Every time that I am hit with that slight earthy and musty scent associated with basements, especially older unfinished ones, I get a little aroused. Sometimes even down right horny.

What unusual odors and fragrances turn you on? What scents that are not usually associated with sex gets you aroused when you smell it?

The realization that I was “different,” occurred when in first or second grade, I was standing in the middle of a group of naked boys, while waiting for our PE coach to come and unlock the door to the swimming pool at school.

I noticed a scent, and I knew it was from the boys around me.  Mixed with that scent, was the smell of the chlorinated water in the pool.

To this day, the smell of a chlorinated pool or bleach takes me back to that moment.

I didn’t know what it meant then, but I guess it was the beginning of the blossoming of my knowledge that I was gay.

Those old mid-1980s men's restrooms. You know the ones where you enter through the wooden double door where the first door squeaks.

They were in every mall department store and office building.

They had that mildly sweet bathroom air freshener smell mixed with mall smell and the scent of the bright pink hand soap.

Yes to this. Whatever Borox product they used to clean those things - they should bottle and sell it as a cologne
