How did you miss that unless you never went down. yes how did i miss this 🤣 honestly it seemed like 2 different places early 2000s and early 2020s . it's entirely possible the basement wasn't a feature way back then, and also maybe everyone being downstairs would explain why it was shockingly empty upstairs a few years ago. but i went to a different gay bar last year in nyc and really, if any bar had been this dead at midnight back in the 90s we'd all be talking about it going out of business. overall i kinda got a "you can never go back home again" vibe. today's gays just don't seem to go out like my generation did in the 90s. 1 Quote

Yeah, it's been 3 different places since it opened in the late 90s. The first location on avenue A was one floor but was almost 50% backroom that was always going. It moved to 2nd Ave in the mid-2000s to a bigger one floor space, still with a huge backroom area. It moved into the former Lit-Lounge firetrap space in the mid-2010s, using the former downstairs performance venue as its backroom. Quote
