Don’t know why they play the most insipid films at bath houses. It’s like they went to WEGA when it was still around and bought out all the discount non-sellers. 5018 had dull as dishwater movies…Centreville has really boring stuff, which has literally put me to sleep. Even G.I. Joe…..Porn stimulates the sense, period.

It may be a "which came 1st, the chicken or the egg," question, but the porn playing in a fuck venue is usually indicative of the activities you will find there. It sets the mood for the activities, and most establishments tend to cater their choices to their regulars tastes. The 2 bathhouses here in Portland have definitely been an interesting case study in the post COVID era.

Steam reopened in the same facility more than a year sooner than Hawks, when they reopened they started out showing the same twink centric, super vanilla, safe sex, with a heavy emphasis on oral porn that they had shown since they opened. However being the 1st to reopen, they attracted a lot of guys looking for a fuck, and the porn changed with the clientele, and while still fairly twink centric is now almost exclusively bareback and I haven't seen them play an oral only flick in several years.

Hawks on the other hand were planning on relocating summer of 2020 and did not wind up getting the new location built out and open until the fall of 2022, leaned even more heavily into the fetish scene than they did before COVID, and went from playing mostly vintage and Treasure Island bareback porn before COVID to really bad fetish flicks that I'm not sure even really qualify as porn, there is some nudity lot's of fetishes, but quite often absolutely no penile penetration of any orifice, while their clientele has moved in the same direction.

A lot of Hawks regulars have become Steam regulars, especially guys into actually fucking and even sucking.  At the same time, after a brief period when there seemed to be a competition for which club could come up with more anti-sexual themed events, almost all of the non-sexual themed events have moved almost entirely to Hawks.
