Denver Bathhouses

Honest question because it seems so long ago, I can hardly remember, but what was the reason all the bathhouses closed?  Was it purely because each wasn't making money or was there a law passed or something?  It all seemed to happen quickly and within the same year if I remember.

Anyway, I was talking to my friend just now who is not at all a slut like me and very monogamous and all of that, and he said while we were talking about his love life, "ya know, I really wish we still had bathhouses so II could just go get plowed a couple of times a week,."  I was kinda shocked.

I don't know what the business model or financials look like for a bathhouse, but with all the open real estate available that's vacant, it seems like it could be viable on a simpler scale than say, DSC.  There certainly seems to be pent up need from myself and I'll the guys I'm fucking around.

It was just a thought I wanted to throw out there.  I can't even imagine the gay drama that would ensue about choosing a location blah blah blah but maybe ChatGPT can rough up a draft model....I think with enough interest a good fuck club without a shit ton of bells and whistles could be very successful.  I'm sick of fucking at home all the time too.  So much cleanup.

They all closed during COVID.i agree ,we need a bathhouse in Denver metro area,I miss them a bunch.i used to go to midtown spa at least 1nce a month or more Buddies in the springs is ok very small but a nice variety of guys.its about an hour to an hour and a half from Denver .it is also part of the building and attached to club q were the shootings happen a few years ago

I haven't lived there in many years, but heard that DSC got an offer on their location that was too good to refuse in the wake of COVID, and that the building Mid Towne was in was sold and the new owners didn't want to renew the lease. I find it hard to believe that a gay bathhouse can't be profitable in Denver, the 3 that were open during my experiences in Denver, and Denver has a much more active gay cruising and orgy scene in general than most major cities in the US, even the larger ones. 

My problem with bathhouses in general is Denver was the 1st city I patronized them, and thought the activity at DSC and Mid Towne was the norm, sadly much of the country does not have that kind of gay sex scene.

You hit on so many great points here @NWUSHorny...

I'll start by just saying what I crave that seems missing with places like DSC gone -

1. I could go and socialize with my friends and be in a relaxed environment where we could just chill (and I'm seriously saying just friends and people I have known for years) or I could walk inside and get fucked bare in a sling.  And it created this environment of no-judge about if we wanna hang in the pool and you wanna go get loads cool, let's meet up here in a few.  
2. That's wasn't always the case - obviously there were plenty of times you could just go there and be a total slut without your friends. 🙂

MT was similar - it felt a bit more chill.

Trust me I went to both just looking for dick and did plenty, but it isn't like going to Pleasure's a backing your hole up to another wooden-hole.  (love that too)

In Seattle, where I'm from, the intent of going to a bathhouse was to fuck or get fucked. If you went to ClubZ (which I loved and still love) the point was to get cum.  When you went to DSC, were you hanging with buds, popping off for 10 minutes to take a load in a sling, etc.

I think I'd say - ignoring safe spaces for us to all congregate - it's safe spaces for us all to fuck around each other and seek that out without being online.  That is what I think needs to be replaced more emergently.

I really appreciate your response - I can see how Denver would cause you to think it's like that everywhere else.  Similarly when I first moved to Denver, everyone was like "let's go to DSC" and I'm like "It's Sunday at 2PM and I don't have my go-bag - I'm not going to a bathhouse" - because my expectation was that I had to be fuck ready when entering the door lol! 🙂  How wrong I was! 🙂

Sunday afternoons at DSC were almost always packed, with lot's of fucking. I could usually find a good dog pile orgy lasting an hour or more in the cave or bunk room at least once on Sunday afternoon. My 1st bathhouse experience was DSC on a Thursday night, I was fucking and getting fucked right outside the cave within 10 minutes of arriving, before I even had a chance fully explore the space. It was almost impossible to go to either DSC or MT any night of the week and not find guys looking to fuck and get fucked. On really slow nights I was still fucking with at least 5 guys, on great nights 50.

I haven't had a chance to go to one yet, but I have noticed Sniffies has multiple large orgies posted on the weekends, usually with overflow postings for the same orgy, it seems like someone could find a location where a bathhouse would be profitable in Denver.

Yep, they exist...it doesn't quite replace for me the ability to not be on a schedule like you can going to a bathhouse though! 🙂 There's some house parties around the city too, but none are exclusively bareback (that I know of) so it can get a bit complicated negotiating.  Also, I have a fear of condoms so being in the same room with them makes me convulse. lol

That is a huge benefit of 24/7 bathhouses if you are in a city where they are actually active. I have some regularly scheduled groups that I hit if I happen to be in LA at the right time and have come to appreciate Club 541 in Palm Springs and Slammer in LA, which are generally active when they are open. 

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find that kind of experience any where in Portland, or in Seattle for that matter. Too many guys don't do groups or have sex with strangers here, which makes group free for slow that break out in bathhouses at least occasionally in most cities difficult to get started and sustain. I don't know how god I am at starting them, but have no problem jumping in and keep them sustained, so I was totally in my element at the tubs in Denver.
