Is BBRT still worth it in NYC?

The site has been steadily dying for years.  Recently I posted a couple of New Jersey events on it.  One of the events got one attendee, whereas Sniffies had 1-2 dozen guys who showed up.

Does BBRT work better in NYC?  Or is it just dead all around these days?

Kinda had the same experiences with it. I've kept my profile just to have it, but rarely have I had much luck finding tops or events. Mostly it's Sniffies and Grindr anymore--that and hitting up the video stores.

Truth told, I kinda like the in-person cruising more anyway. Less time-wasters and flakes, and the scene feels even more anon just grabbing the closest stranger and offering him a warm wet hole in a dark booth.

I'm pretty new to BBRT, I requested to join an event, got approved to attend. Asked host a couple questions a couple days later since I was new to site and their events. Got blocked and hence removed from group. So, ya, not a very welcoming atmosphere and is underwhelming for sure. Definitely more hits on Sniffies. Oh, I'm in Chicago area (North burbs) btw.

Weirdly enough, my pending cumdump is getting more attention and RSVPs on BBRTS than Sniffies this time. I also find that BBRTS guys are more likely to show up than Sniffies guys. I'll update this when I have final numbers (somehow I'm always in manager mode, even when planning a cumdump session)

BBRT went downhill many years ago. I deleted my profile during Covid.

Its a legacy platform. Guys want engagement in real time. No one is waiting around a day or two for some guy miles away to unlock their private pics.

Distance for a hook-up is measured in feet now.

276 feet is the Grindr distance of a New York City block.

At this point if you live in the NYC area, the apps are saturated. Most guys are having active chats with you and at least five other guys at the same time.

I prefer in-person cruising also. Less time wasted, no need to give up personal information, and 'ghosting' is a not an issue.

Dudes flaking out and ghosting is the WORST! Especially for us bottoms--and it's exactly like what you say. Tops are chatting up 5 bottoms all at once, picking the one they want, and then ghosting the other 4--leaving us prepped out and waiting for a load that's never gonna show up! 

Honestly the best thing about in person cruising is time management. There's no waiting around for a guy to text you the address or tell you he's on his way and show up an hour later. Either they are stepping into your booth then and there, or they aren't, and you can keep looking.

Yeah, I had 3 guys just not show last night. I even turned one guy down because the other said he wanted my hole fresh. To all you tops out there: be honest about coming. We do a fair amount of preparation to give you. good fuck.

I do miss having more venues where I could just go and be a total bottom cumslut. Life was easier!
