Or do you just realize when you're doing it? If the latter, it sounds like an OCD type of thing. I have similar compulsions: nail biting, skin picking, etc. There are drugs that help, I'm told, but I've never tried any Rx solutions. There are non-Rx solutions as well but those haven't worked for me. YMMV. Quote
