    Hi, it is a scary situation when taking the risk. also scary when they notify you. Have you shown any symptoms? usually sores and burns when you pee. If no symptom since its been a week, give it another 2 weeks. can take up to a month. You can go to you PCP and request a full on STI test including HSV, they only do those upon request. usually they tell you to take the test when symptoms have shown. so it would be to late by then. But there are ways to treat it. I hope this helps
