Yeah, at least when I went there KU had a offical team. We were recognized by The National Collegiate Paintball Association or NCPA. It was a blast.  KU is in Lawrence KS, it is an incredibly liberal city, and yeah this was only ten years ago so being gay wasn't a big deal.
