Your definitely not the only one setting aside responsibilities for the possibility of sex. I have noticed that I have repeatedly put aside my academics in order to search for a good time. The sad part is, it's rare that I find that person to hook up with. If I do find them, they aren't available until there is absolutely no way I can meet up. This is really becoming a problem with absolutely no satisfaction, most of the time.
