I can add a few pieces of info since I'm a guy who seroconverted in August/Sep 1997. No single med even Truvada will do anything to slow replication immediatly after infection. You can go from 1 to nearly a million copies per (ml.cl.ounce whatever) over weeks. I had zero Flulike symptoms after I was pozzed. I know exactly where, when and how it happened. I was cycling around 200-300 miles/wk all summer/fall and felt fantastic. But my viral load was 400,000 when I started meds. It was below detection in 2 months.
