They've posted an update on their blog, but ironically you can only get to the blog if you're not experiencing the problem, so I'll quote the information here for those of you who can't get to the sites...

Update: DNS Issue

Ok, thanks to "McGyver" in the blog comments, it appears that there was a typo in one of our Name Server entries. While his assessment was somewhat incomplete, the issue is definitely related to the name server pointing in the wrong place.

The issue was that one of our name servers ( 204.wet-media.net ) was typo'd and pointing to a non-existent site... until about 5pm (MST) on Monday March 12, when a "private registrar" in China loaded an entry with our mis-spelled name server to redirect pages to his site to drive up traffic.

You can see who the offending hacker is by going to:

http://whois.sc/wet-meida.net (notice the misspelling of Wet-Media)

This person was taking advantage of a spelling error that up until yesterday did not have any impact on service to you.

We have since corrected the spelling error and the change is being routed through out the internet. This will take some time to propagate throughout the network, but the problem will eventually resolve itself.

Because DNS information is retained on your PC, the easiest way to resolve the problem is to COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN your PC and restart it. This will force the domain name server to hand you a fresh copy of the information. This includes Cell Phones and Tablet Devices. They must be completely powered down and back up to get the fix quickly. Otherwise, you may wait until your PC refreshes it's information.

Our apologizes for any convenience.

So basically they had a typo that was affecting one of their four DNS servers, and if your internet service provider hit that DNS server and cached the bad info, then you have to wait for your ISP's DNS server to pull the corrected info. As they mention, things can also be cached on your machine.

Update: DNS Issue (REDUX)

If you know what you are doing and are tired of waiting for you Internet Provider to update their DNS Servers so you can get to BarebackRT... the good folks at Google are ready to help.

Google provides world wide DNS Servers at: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

We have checked their DNS Servers and they have the correct information.

Here is a link to Google's Public DNS Service: http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html

Again.. i would stress that you read the Google information completely before you attempt to update your DNS Servers on your PC.

As an alternative, you may use http://i.bbrts.com even though it is designed for the iPhone, it offers most all of the services that the main site does. This is only a temporary work around until your Internet Provider updates their servers.
