Best places are trails around Buena Vista Drive (off of Park Row Drive, near the 110 freeway) and Grand View Drive (north of Elysian Reservoir, overlooking the 5 freeway). Park gates close when it gets dark, so no vehicles after that, but guys will park their cars on North Broadway near the L.A. River and walk up Meadow Road past Park Row Drive East than take the trails up towards Buena Vista Drive.
