BrisFuck Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Hi all, Am a 100% top who is trying his best to remain neg. I find it very difficult to stay erect when using condoms so bareback all the time these days. Have a high sex drive and cannot find a reliable fuck buddy so have resorted to more riskier situations to blow my loads. Does anybody have any strategies they use as a top in order to try to remain neg ? Am uncut as well. I know that the long term fix for my problem is to have a long term relationship again (I am monogamous when in a relationship), but there is no sign of that happening at the moment. I really don't want to end up poz....but I can't stop myself from having bareback sex. I tend to shower as soon as I can after sex and take a piss as well. Thanks guys.
pata Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Shower nor pissing does not help. As a top, your risk is low from the first. A couple of general tips to reduce your risk: 1) Ask Bottoms what their status is. As we all know, if the bottom is on medication, there is a high chance his viral load is undetectable level. Fuck someone you can trust; at least minimally. Having a regular fuck buddy is a good way. You can talk more about the bottom's status. The worst case is the bottom that does not know he is poz. This increases your risk. Just ask them. Many guys don't do that. 2) If you are uncut, you have more risk. 3) See your doctor and get the prescription for PrEP. If you have a decent health insurance, it will be covered. 4) Don't play too rough. If you hurt the bottom's ass wall, it may cause a higher chance. Most people do not fuck like porn stars and there's nothing wrong with that. None of these is perfect. There is no better way to avoid infection than using a condom. But by being a level head, you can keep your risk at a quite low level.
fskn Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 I wanted to echo the suggestions of communicating with your sex partners and starting PrEP. I would broaden the conversation from HIV status to awareness and health. Statistically speaking, fucking an HIV-positive guy who is undetectable could be safer than fucking someone who claims to be negative but is unsure or might be lying. PrEP has received some traction in the international HIV prevention community, but I'm not sure which countries other than the U.S. have approved it. If it hasn't yet been approved in Australia, you could ask a competent doctor to prescribe Truvada for an "off-label" use. Canadian patients are starting to do that, for example. I would add not fucking guys who already have loads inside. You can find out by saying that it's a turn-on. (This backfires for me, because it really is. When a guy says yes, I can't resist slipping in!) Using lots of lube, not fucking too roughly, stopping if you feel the slightest abrasion on the head of your dick or on your foreskin, and cumming quickly instead of engaging in a marathon fuck session, can all reduce your risk. Relationships confer a false sense of security. Disclosing sexual escapades becomes even harder when emotions are involved. If you do get into a relationship, it's a good idea to have a no-fault disclosure policy. Being told that your boyfriend has been fucking around can break your heart, but it might also save your life.
hardtopFTL Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 tops can get infected as a million straight guys in India and Africa can attest. common sense says you are doing it pretty much right. less time fucking/more lube is good. get up ASAP after fucking and piss them wash with soap and try to keep your foreskin pulled back until after you are washed. good luck!
fieldpussy Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Maybe you should consider to get your foreskin cut off. I am cut, but have some uncut friends who told me about the issues they have with the sensitive skin of the glans and inner foreskin which is usually not exposed to the environment and tends very much to perform little injuries during sex or wanking. Some of these injuries are so little that you won't notice them. But one of my uncut fuckbuddies was even bleeding from his frenulum (on the lower side of the glans) when he pulled out of me after a medium hard pounding. I also have some friends who got cut as adults and they told me that within a couple of weeks the mentioned skin parts developed their own protection just from rubbing against the underwear. Since then they feel much more comfortable since their cocks aren't so super sensitive any more and hence not so injurable. I won't say that being cut protects you from getting pozzed, but being uncut is definitely a high risk as far as I am informed.
wood Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Shower nor pissing does not help. Incorrect, it actualy does lower infection risk. Urine flushes out virus before it can be absorbed, and washing up, especially for an uncut guy is fairly important. You are doing most of the right things. 1) I would also use a good silicone lube, because it last much longer than the water based lubes. Use alot. 2) dont fuck too long, even jerk off a bit first. Make it smooth and gentle, not hard and rough. 3) Dont play with guys who have already been bred, you dont know the previous tops status. 4) Always ask status, and when the last time they were tested was. Dont rule out undetectable guys because they can be less risk than a guy who has no idea. 5) a regular known neg fuck buddy who only bb's with you is also a good option. 6) I dont know if PrEP is available in Austrailia since Im assuming you guys have universal heathcare. But ask about it. Its when a neg person takes truvada once a day to help stay neg. Check the PrEP forum for details. 7) Circumcision will help, but I probably wouldn't do it, If I was uncut i would want to keep it that way.
BrisFuck Posted September 11, 2013 Author Report Posted September 11, 2013 Wow ! I am impressed with the number of posts. To my knowledge, PrEP is only available for use in Australia AFTER exposure such as after a condom has broken during sex, rape cases etc. I have never heard of Australians taking PrEP long term to protect against their risks. I have read the research from the international studies. Why take PrEP when there are side effects ? I rarely use lube at all these days, normally just saliva. I much prefer guys who haven't been fucked before I fill them with my load. I must admit that I have fucked a couple of times when the guy was bred before I filled him, but it is generally a turn off. I like being the one to breed first ! I have given up asking the status of guys in public situations (beats) as I find they generally just lie or avoid telling the complete truth. I have a BbRT account that I use to assess the status of potential meets. It shows the lies told on other sites. I will never get circumcised...I do not like the look of a cut cock and I much prefer other guys who are uncut. I have started using some anti-bacterial wipes after sex when I am not at home and can't jump into the shower for a good clean. Anybody ever tried doing a similar sort of thing ? Thanks for the posts. Maybe they will be useful for others too.

This is doubly important since you are uncut. 2) Personally I would avoid things like beats (slang for bathhouse?) Its much more likely to find people in there that don't know or don't care about their status. 3) Try to wash up with soap and water after EVERY fuck. Wipes are not going to do much.
Administrators rawTOP Posted September 12, 2013 Administrators Report Posted September 12, 2013 To my knowledge, PrEP is only available for use in Australia AFTER exposure such as after a condom has broken during sex, rape cases etc. That's PEP. PrEP is different. I'd also suggest pissing after you fuck someone - it will help wash out your urethra.
BrisFuck Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Any fellow Aussies out there with any knowledge about PrEP in our country ?
BBLucas Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 As far as I know it is just entering clinical trial stage here and probably won't be available then for many years, we are really behind the rest of the world on PrEP. I feel your pain BrisFuck, I can't keep hard with a condom on either, and so many guys I have been with can't either.
BrisFuck Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Never used to be a problem till after a long term relationship where we never used them.
