Today's Site Upgrade - Better mobile support!

I did a software upgrade on the site today. Here's what changed...

The menus in the top navigation bar work a little differently. The Blogs, Pictures and Porn menu had pull-downs. What I was using for the pull-downs doesn't work with the new versions, so the pull-downs are gone.

Adding a picture album may be more difficult now that Pictures doesn't have a drop down menu - need to test that.

But the big change was that while I was in there tinkering with things I decided to add a mobile-optimized theme. Previously you had to deal with a non-optimized site or use Forum Runner (an app for Android/iOS). Now you can just point your mobile phone at the site and it will use a mobile-optimized theme. I haven't done much to customize the theme - just put in the logo and analytics code. I'll tweak that more later.

Let me know if anything doesn't seem to work like before.

First, I love the new mobile skin. I just wanted to mention that the main index looks a little weird on the new Nexus 7. The rest of the forum looks fine, but this is what I get when I go to the home page: http://imgur.com/mt0Rd7e.

It looks like the bar on the left shouldn't be there?

I have to say im not really a fan of the new mobile site. I like to read the forums and the original posting date is primarily what i look at b/c ive read almost all of the stories. So when looking for new material to read, i usually look at the post date to see whats been recently added. I also liked scrolling down the what's new page and reading the little snippets of what the last poster said, now its all just titles and posting dates.

I just changed things so there's a "Full Site" option at the bottom of the page. Click that and you'll see the desktop version.

Try it now (reload the page if it doesn't work right the first time). I made a small change that might help.

I was wondering what happened to the pull down menus for, for instance, pictures. I used to select "new pictures" so I would see the most recent ones. Pity I can't select ir anymore. By the way, I am not using the site on my Phone. I just use it on my laptop. If the site is now better for mobile users, then so be it.

Yeah, the pull downs were using a plug-in feature for the software which broke with the upgrade. I was just tinkering with it before responding to you and I tried something and now all the pull downs work again! Go figure.

Let me spend a few minutes to see if I can get the submenus to be a bit more contextually appropriate, etc.

Just tried it. I get a "HTTP404 not found" error. But appreciate the effort! ;-)

Don't give up so easily :) That bug is fixed now.

Ever since I started using the forum, I've had this happen to me roughly 99% of the time while using my iPod. I didn't really think much of it, and it never bothered me (I rarely use that part of the site on my iPod), but I finally decided to snoop around the board to see if I was the only one. Seems that the main page of the forum is the only page that has this issue. It's liveable, but I don't know why it's the only page that does it. Any ideas? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue, but it could be an iOS compatibility issue? I'm on an older iOS (6.1.6, build 10B500), so I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case.

Here's what I get. Pretty much the same thing, just harder to read lol.
