I think I may have anal warts and need to get this checked out? They almost look like skin tags but are getting larger and it's gone from one to 3 or 4. Does any one have experienced this? Can they be removed or will medication clear them up? I know it's not "curable". Also should I see a general MD/Doctor? Or can you recommend what type of specialist I should see. Thanks guys

I have had them. If you have a favorite STD clinic go there, they will likely freeze them off, then treat with a brownish acid. If no STD clinic a dermatologist will do the same.

I've had this too and it sucks. I've been treated by my regular doctor, but he is a gay and knows all about treating gay issues. Freezing is common if they are all external. The acid works well but I warn you, your asshole will be sore as hell for a about a week. Sometimes it takes more than one treatment to get rid of them.

I have had them last year internal and external. My first treatment was in May and the last one was in December. I visited my dermatologist every six weeks in the beginning. At the end I had to go every two weeks. Each time the dermatologist cut, froze (plus acid) or burnt them off. After each treatment they gave me home medication in this order: Aldara (made me feel sick, caused obstipation, not very effective for me), Efudix (caused extreme obstipation, heavy bleeding, very effective but too aggressive for me),Wartec (mild side effects and very effective). There is no best treatment/medication.The doctor needs to see/try what will work for you. In the end your body will clean up the virus. My advice: try to live as healthy as possible during your treatment (eat fibre rich food, minimize alcohol consumption, stay away from drugs or poppers usage) and be very patient. Good luck!

i got anal condyloma several years back, and if the warts are on the outside they can be frozen off like others have said. however, if they are found in the inside of your anus...surgery may be necessary or else they could turn cancerous. i've had 2 surgeries done before. they put you out so you don't feel anything and use a tool to spread your hole open while they cut away any warts they find. it's pretty painful for a week or two after the surgery. hurts like hell to shit or wipe. and you have to be on a special diet before hand....it sucks. and there's always the possibility they will return. thankfully, mine haven't yet

Removing warts doesn't remove the virus...the virus can turn into cancer epescially type 16 18 they don't even cause warts and you would never know,.the more partner you have the higher the risk is to get many HPV strains...warts are not harmful yet not nice to see..they can be removed but can return
