Here is an interesting survey of gay men and their views on sex and barebacking. It is worth checking out for those interested in the bareback sex scene.

Here are some key points from the survey:

A total of 160 men were interviewed for the study.

94% said they were more likely to have unprotected sex with a good looking guy.

70% of young gay men believe that sex without condoms is more pleasurable and exciting.(duh)

The survey draws a link between social apps like Grindr and the increase in bareback sex among gay men.

160 is far too small of a sample size for the survey to mean anything.

Not saying the results are wrong, but you could pretty much get a survey to say anything with a sample that small.

It's harder to say no when the guy is really super hot cause your probably thinking if I say condom he might just say no thanks and leave and as hot as he is he can find someone else real fast, I want that to be me so fuck it I'll let him bareback me.

the guy was so hot and the chemistry was right, I completely forgot about protection. 30 minutes later, he left two heavy loads deep inside my gut.

I go to a few places for random group gay sex. I look around  to see see who is using condoms this is by no means scientific but by my estimation condom is used less 10% of the time. 
With that said, I think the survey reflects the mood of gay and bi men. We do not like using condoms.
