I dont qualify for health insurance and since i bareback, i would like to get at least some protection. Is there a payment plan or another type of insurance i can qualify for. Thanks Quote
lungfucker Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 Get on the ACA (aka Obamacare) ASAP, and get your doctor to then prescribe Prep or just Truvada. I had this discussion with my doctor on Wednesday, and my pharmacy confirmed today that my insurance will pay 100% of the cost, versus the $1500 uninsured cost. 1 Quote

Thanks You don't list your location in your profile on here and when I looked up your BBRT user name it was a 47 yr old undetectable dude in the UK. What state you are in can make a big difference as far as your insurance options under Obamacare since some states with Republican governors did not expand medicaid. Those that did like WA where I live you would be able to likely get on medicaid to get PrEP unless you make enough to pay for your insurance and that runs minimum $50 a month for the most bare bones plans.
