BradStevens Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 Hey guys - I'm lining up my room for Folsom 2015 and have booked myself at both the Travelodge at Market and Valencia and the Days Inn Civic Center in Hayes Valley. I've stayed at the Travelodge several times and have always done well but it's a bit skeevy (sp?), they offer a horrible breakfast and charge $15/day for parking. (I like to have a car in case I want to go collect loads around the city!) Days Inn on the other hand offers free parking and a better breakfast and charges nominally less. The most important question is.... is it a good place for load taking or more family oriented? It's in a more densely populated residential neighborhood but then the Travelodge is pretty accessible by public transit and is a hop, skip and a jump from SOMA. What to do?!? Hoping a bottom who has experience at both hotels can help me out. Thanks!

SanFranBear Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 I agree with the posting above. Have played at the motels on 7th Street and they seem to be the best.
chi4loads Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Yeah, screw the car. I always use muni to get around SF. And there's something oddly satisfying being on public transport with a few strangers loads in your ass. 2
BradStevens Posted January 31, 2015 Author Report Posted January 31, 2015 Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
SFPOINTMan Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 I have always had good luck at the Civic Center Motor Inn. 9th and Harrison. Lot of bars in the area and lots of cruising at night. Horrible WIFI.. and there is parking but a car is awful during Folsom.
MixedMuscleBear Posted September 6, 2015 Report Posted September 6, 2015 I just posted similar & need advice also for Folsom. I'm booked for Becks motor lodge but now thinking of changing to Travel Lodge or Civic centre, want a motel with easy access & hopefully some anons!
