Hey guys.

In absence of free prep where I live, I've bought prep online.

It's arrived and I want to start taking it. But my appointment to get tested isn't until the middle of the week.

Does this matter? How critical is it to have my bloods taken before having even a single dose?

I guess 1 or 2 pills won't affect bone / kidney function enough to affect baseline readings?

Would they do anything to affect establishing an initial HIV negative result?

To be on the safe side I would wait until after your test results before using. Also are you sure the prep is on the up and up? Some sites do like to scam people.

Kidney function test don't matter much when you do them. But you really want to make absolutely sure you are HIV- before starting PrEP to avoid getting resistance to Truvada.
