Guest gwmcatcher Posted January 24, 2019 Report Posted January 24, 2019 Had anyone participated in a clinical trial for future HIV meds and/or treatments? I’ve been approached by my doctor to possibly participate in one run by a local university hospital and a major HIV pharma company. Before I decide would welcome hearing other’s experiences. Thanks

Thanks I got fifty bucks to lay in bed and get my blood drawn every hour or two to see how much meds were in it. If I recall they fucked it all up somehow but I still got my fifty bucks.
Guest Posted January 27, 2019 Report Posted January 27, 2019 I've been in a clinical trial for almost 2 years now for a new Prep drug. Descovy for Prep. Not exactly the same thing, but not sure what your question might be. I get the Rx for free, go for 3 month check ups, quite a bit of blood tests, answer questions on an ipad about about how many raw holes I've fucked and how many raw cocks I've taken, if I've forgotten doses, get my stds checked for free and get a check for $43 every visit.
SlampaBay Posted January 27, 2019 Report Posted January 27, 2019 I'm on descovy. It replaced my truvada which is the same thing but harder on the liver or kidneys over time. That's why it is used instead of truvada as prep.
Guest gwmcatcher Posted January 28, 2019 Report Posted January 28, 2019 Thanks all for the comments. I’ve decided to participate. Went on for a physical exam last week to see if I qualify. Waiting to hear back.
Guest Porthos Posted January 28, 2019 Report Posted January 28, 2019 I was part of a clinical trial around 5 years ago to see what effect Atripla has on a TB antibiotic. It was about 4 weeks long and there were two priods where I was confined in a hospital like setting so they could draw blood every 60 minutes over a 12 hour period. They gave me Atripla for weeks and paid me $2000.
