Figured I would share it with the masses. The appeal that TIM, early HDK and Machofucker have over companies like say, Channel 1. Now lets remove the obvious fact that we are comparing bareback to condoms. People that would never bareback are drawn to the bareback stuff, and why? Hell, why was I first drawn to it. One of my friends that I watched Breeding Season with said that the men were so manly that he could taste the testosterone through the screen. But here's my reason, movies like Breeding Season, Planting Seed, Plowed, Machofucker, Bareback Buddies, Boys Club... it feel less that you are watching porn and more that you are watching men fuck. There is no playing to the screen with what passes for a rim job in Channel 1 films, these men in TIM, HDK, etc seem to be basically unleashed on each other like a pack of wolves. I still remember, in my opinion, the hottest moment in Cumsloppy Buttholes is when Dawson tells Jesse O Toole that he was jacked off thinking about getting fucked by him so many times. That drunken moment of lust, when we finally land that guy we want, its a real moment, and things like that just aren't in movies like Channel 1. I think it would be hotter if the men were allowed to just fuck and enjoy sex and have it not be the theatrical production that those movies are. (as to why I am using Ch1 as an example, I see that companies movies exclusively when I am at Hollywood Spa) Some Titan stuff I find hot, but thats because I love furry muscle daddies) More... Again with Breeding Season (one of my favorites too): its as if you're actually IN the room. The men are men that I would actually approach and fuck around with. They aren't overly-tanned, overly-muscled and overly-processed to the point of being fake and unrealistic. With these men, their appearance is secondary; their fucking skills and chemistry is what counts. Set it up in a motel room, bathhouse, backyard, warehouse and BOOM, that's reality porn. It's all relatable. Studios like Channel 1, Falcon, Titan, etc focus moreso on a LOOK. They find the models first and hope that there's a connection, so long as they look the part. He looks for the moment that are unfiltered experience--the moments when a person forgets about performance and is driven by his own lusts. No encounter--especially in front of a camera--will be free of "performance" but if there are too many moments when the scene is performance rather than experience, when the guys seem to be playing to the camera or what they think the director or the viewer will want them to do rather than what they are driven to do, he drops the scene. It would be totally possible to make really hot porn with condoms. But the studios that do so are so tied up in artificiality and performance that they really can't. I agree about Breeding season and TIM , Machofucker, Eric Videos, etc in terms of real men fucking rather than the "performance" with a set and a script and worst of all, a soundtrack. That is what mesmerized me about TIM when I first found them 7-8 years ago. They have hot men, but not models and not twinks. Even their "twink" type bottoms like Christian are not traditionally cute. He is cute because he is will to get fucked or suck by any man. He would never be a teen idol. Even Dawson was untraditional with his perfect gym body and beautiful face. What made him more real was the balding head and dead voice. However, more and more they are going towards pretty boys and/or severe tattoo and piercing types. Neither of which I relate to. Eric Videos does some really hot stuff but he wont use models over 35, even though he is well over that. lol. I love that TIM uses guys like Derek Anthony who is hot regardless of his age.
