If you believe the CDC's risk numbers are accurate, the risk of transmission for non-HVL  HIV+ partner topping an HIV- bottom without protection, when neither have another STD, is 138/100,000.

If he did this 300 times, his total risk of acquiring HIV would be just over 34%, or just over 1 in 3.

It does not work this way in the real life.  I know men who were Pozzed from a single sexual encounter, both bottoms and tops, vers men (as in they fuck each other and swap cum loads), and I have met men who said they became poz from giving oral sex as they were not into anal sex at all, used condoms correctly the super low # of times they ever did anal sex, and said how they had cuts or sores/broken skin in their mouth, or had dental surgery and figured that 'low risk' meant zero risk or 1,000% safe.

I took thousands of loads from hundreds of strangers over years before finally becoming poz just recently. I never ask for or discuss status, and only take bareback.

It took a long time, but it’s Russian roulette. You need to understand, accept, and enjoy the risk you are taking with every bareback load. I think this is most important.

Have you pozzed men who fucked you or if they are already HIV+ did you both infect each other with new strains, or did BB sex between two poz people result in medication failures?

I know you wrote about how you are not on meds, but seriously please do consider going on them, stay on them taking them daily, get HIV VL testing done as well as bloodwork, and talk to your doctor(s) about which HIV meds are best for you. This will only benefit you and eventually you will need to go on some type of HIV medication. Many states and countries have programs where HIV meds are paid for completely or mostly by state and federal governments and HIV/AIDS programs, but in order to get meds like this you must directly apply for these programs.

A poz friend who is a longterm survivor told me how he took a sort of HIV genotype test that will tell his HIV specialists which meds work best for him based on which type of HIV he has, viral levels/cd4 count, which meds to avoid, and other factors.

That's the problem. People look at odds and cannot correctly figure what they mean. Of course, this is also in a country where millions of people play the lottery daily or weekly despite odds of winning that are astronomically against them.  Why people can think "the odds are 500 million to one against me winning, but that means I've got a chance!" and at the same time read "the odds of infection from a single act of bareback sex with a poz person are 800 to one" and think "nah, nothing to worry about, that'll never happen to me!"

Very interesting factoid, but I think there's a caveat within: What is the qualification for "non-HVL  HIV+"?  U=U? Or is there a VL range that the CDC cites with their statistic? Asking for a friend. 😃

The CDC considers 100,000 or above a "high viral load". Presumably, then, anything below that (or at least, significantly below that; not counting the 99,950 copy loads) is a "non-HVL" partner.

Sadly this is very true.

Potential fucker: There's 8 billion people on the planet, that's the odds of me fucking you.
Clueless Idiot: So that means I still have a chance? 🤣😂

Love it. But you're right.

When asked if they can go back in time what they might do, many people say they'd kill Hitler. No you wouldn't, you'd go back and buy Microsoft, Apple, Tesla, Google and Amazon stock and then just sit back and wait patiently.

yes. bb and still neg, no prep. but several things probably contribute. almost never has it been multiple guys and endless hours of fucking. so my ass is seldom if ever rubbed raw and there isnt one guy after the other pushing each load deeper and rubbing them into my inner walls.

also if i have even a slight cold i dont play. this is to not pass the cold on but it means my natural defenses are not fighting another issue.

i dont play if it's not an overall match. so i have never just had stranger after stranger.

not that i would not engage with lots at once. but my nature would sorta need one more dom top in control of me "giving it all up".  a few times my partners and i have planned to hit a place like slammers or other clubs. but so far each of those times we get so very into our fun we just can 't seem to pull away.  which is fine cuz it's all about the passion.

so i (and some of my partners) agree that despite my willingness these aspects of what we enjoy make it much harder to convert. and i've never done the biggest risk factors mostly due to timing and opportunity.
