Steamworks in Berkeley is pretty amazing. It’s the only real bathhouse in the SF Bay Area, so it’s always busy. The facilities are great.

I find it ironic that the SF Bay area is the only metro in the US that has two bathhouses still open. With the exception being South Florida which has three.

At the rate bathhouses are closing, I could be wrong on a few of them, but I think the western US has multiple metros with more than one. Seattle, Portland, LA and Phoenix I believe all still have 2, and Las Vegas definitely has 2 plus I believe a new one has opened.. I thought SF Bay was down to 1 with the closure of the one in San Jose? Unfortunately I wouldn't put any of the ones I've been to in those cities that are still open on my list of bests. All of my bests have closed in the last few years.
