I used to haunt the primitive rest areas on either side of I-22 just south of the Tn. state line.  No lights, or restrooms,  just a place to park and trails back into the woods.  Met a lot of drivers there, and had good times.  Hwy Dept and the law closed them both off because there was so much activity there.
