Some guys have injected their balls with grain alcohol (drinking alcohol) I've read that it doesn't hurt as much as one would think, but it does take a number of injections.

Hey so I have been castrated by the banding method. I honestly wish I had done it sooner. But I got very high on meth then banded my balls and left it on for 4 days before going to the hospital then a week later had then removed.
