His first name was Joe or Joey... he apparently had moved to SF in the early 1990s. He had red curly hair, was Italian (he lived in South Philly) and was in a movie about a Carnival or carnies, or something like that. It wasn't Men of the Midway, though. Couldn't find a movie with carnival or related words in the title though. Definitely sporting the red curly hair, and a kind of all-American jock appearance.
