Red headed 1980s Gay Porn star from Movie about Carnies, Carnival, etc.

I'm trying to remember the name of a 1980s porn "star" who may have only made a couple of movies. His first name was Joe or Joey... he apparently had moved to SF in the early 1990s. He had red curly hair, was Italian (he lived in South Philly) and was in a movie about a Carnival or carnies, or something like that. It wasn't Men of the Midway, though.

He also danced at the 247 in Philadelphia which is where I met him. I cannot find a photo or his name anywhere on the internet.

Only one I can find that seems to semi-match that description is Joe Spears, working in the early 90s. Couldn't find a movie with carnival or related words in the title though. Definitely sporting the red curly hair, and a kind of all-American jock appearance.
