I'll just add that some folks are referring about smells, which I would normally link to lack of hygiene - this is not that.. When he came after long days work it was somewhat 'stale' so no that pleasant (old sweat damp socks) but boy when he showered and I could smell his fresh body smell... 

Other friend has completely different thing. His body smell (even fresh of the shower) is so aggressive (sort of 'animal') it's a great turndown for me.

It’s true most people can be triggered by smells. I am not a fan of smelling typical bad hygiene body odors. I much prefer a clean woodsy, musk smell on my man. In my younger days, the smell of Old Spice would trigger an instant boner. As I dated more less masculine men, o soft feminine spray did it for me. 
 

I am an HSP (highly sensitive person) so my five senses tend to be hypersensitive. I can smell a skunk long before anyone else, so I am really diligent at maintaining good hygiene and demand it from others. But on the other hand, I typically don’t wear deodorant or cologne and only shower when I start to smell myself. I do enjoy having my pits, ass, feet, and really any other body part sniffed and licked. I know, just because I might not be able to smell myself, doesn’t mean others can’t.
