Happy birthday jock straps

Well this is not really “politics” but not sure where else to post this as it is not really “back room” material.. as my local NPR station did a story on it, and even AP ran a story 

 

this is the 150 anniversary of the invention of the jock strap 

it was invented in Boston to help the bicycle messengers protect themselves as they navigated the bumpy cobblestone streets of Boston.

it was invented by (designed by?) CF Bennett who worked for Bike Athletic

so - nice to know that Boston, known normally for being prudish, Did something fun.

so gentleman… you can celebrate as you choose…
