Koklmn Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 Possible to be treated remotely/via Zoom for STI treatment? Anyone have experience?
FallenLad Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 I've used online pharmacies to buy antibiotics to use as DoxyPEP (I'm in the UK). No video call, just a questionnaire. However if you think you might have an STD then the issue is that the treatment is usually specific to which one (e.g. what they prescribe for Chlamydia is going to be different to that for syphilis). I've never heard of anything in the UK that diagnoses STDs via online video calls.
Moderators viking8x6 Posted May 30 Moderators Report Posted May 30 Not a good idea. And especially not if you don't have experience with a variety of them. If you decide it's the only viable option, you will at minimum need to have diagnostic testing done by a lab to know what you have (which matters as to the proper treatment). 1

Anyone have experience? i've had bad luck w this. basically all i did was waste time and $ just in an effort to be "discrete". at this point, the gals at planned parenthood accept me for the ho i am and don't judge so... anyways, here in the USA it varies wildly by each state's laws. in my case, every effort just ended with the online clinic's recomendation that i go to a local clinic in person. 2
wallacemartini Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 I've had good luck with everlywell. Just gotta be diligent about sending your sample asap.
