BadBob214 Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 So, I've been on antidepressants for the last 15+ years (Citalipram) Under supervision from my Dr I've been reducing my dose from 40 to 20 and now 10mg over the last year. I'm in a pretty happy and stable place now. My labido was okay while on the full dose but, lately has gone through the roof. I'm masterbating at least once and usually twice a day and meeting guys regularly for a shag. Has this happened to anyone else coming off antidepressants? 1 Quote
Moderators viking8x6 Posted August 6 Moderators Report Posted August 6 SSRI's (citalopram is one) definitely mess with your libido. Generally the drug reduces it, so it makes sense that cutting back on the drug would increase it. 1 Quote
BarebackedBear Posted August 7 Report Posted August 7 I had the opposite effect. After years of no sex drive while trying to fight The Big Sad™ alone, going on Fluoxetine not only stabilized my mood but also brought the hornies back. By the second or third week after starting it I had a good buddy out to play for the first time in over a year, he spent the whole afternoon and put four loads in me. It was awesome and I've never looked back. I'm on a low dose though so YMMV. 1 Quote

Literally just posted on a other thread about this. Yes, im also on citalopram and while it doesn't affect my Libido it does make me find it difficult to ejaculate. It might be worth getting youe testosterone levels checked. Mine was low and affected mood, libido and more. Much better now Quote
