I don't remember a little side dark room but I do remember orgies in the basement toilet and people crowded around one of the exit doors (this was fun in the winter when the metal door was COLD) in the front on the right side (the exit door probably faced an alley) off one of the little streets in Chinatown.

Did you ever meet "Big John?" Huge Irish dude (maybe 6'5"?) with a giant uncut dick? He loved making people deep throat him. This was....a CHALLENGE. I was up to it.  This would've been early 1990s. He had black thick black hair and a thick hairy chest. Super hot dude but he wasn't really into buttfucking just deep throat.

Sorry for late response, When you walked in going down towards the front, they were 2 one on the left and one on the right, about 3/4 quarters of the way down. The one on the left was more busier for some reason, not sure what the rooms were for in their day, but it dark, no light and very hot to be groped, felted up, suck and fuck.

I was fucked in there many times...

I think I do remember him, never really got the chance to try his cock though...

The Pilgrim was in the Combat Zone on Washington St around the corner from Playland Cafe. Now that place was a TRIP and a half. A gay bar since the 1930s. Some of the customers in the 1980s had been there opening day.

Absolutely on Playland Café, it was a trip !!!

For norefusal, this might remind you

The Montauk Theater in Passaic, New Jersey

It was worth the bus ride on a Saturday. It was jam packed.

Later operated by Warner Theatres and Stanley-Warner. It had a great Art Deco style marquee. It was closed as a regular movie theatre in 1974. It soon reopened as an Independently operated adult theatre which remained in the building for almost 30 years. The Montauk Theatre was closed suddenly and without notice in May 2005.

Yep. That's the place. This is more or less what it looked like when I was regularly going there in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Brings back some great sleazebucket memories, like the sexy clean cut blonde frat boy type kid who parked himself on the toilet, drank beer all night, got shit faced and sucked one cock after another.

The Fair Theater is the only one I know in NYC. I hit that up regularly. Surprising mix of older and younger guys there, though a lot of the older folks actually just sit around in the lobby area and chat. Like a big gay social club with raw sex in the back.

Kinda a perfect atmosphere, really!

I love the Fair Theather and go a few times per month. I love the dark room and the booths

I had some of my best and most adventurous sex as a teenager and college student  in Philadelphia porn cinemas.  I hear now, that almost all of them are gone.  It's a shame, I can think of one very good spot in the Tampa area, but with all the real estate development in urban areas, I think that place to will close.

Agreed.  Sansom St. Cinema is long gone (now a restaurant.)  Danny's Adam and Eve is still there but the booths are gone, I believe.  Adonis is gone.  There's still a place in NE Philly (next door to Four Seasons Landscaping, if you remember that press conference).  I don't live nearby anymore but that used to be a frequent stop when I lived in the Northeast.

I feel too self-conscious walking around in a bathhouse but loved the bookstores and theatres.  Most recently, last Fall, I went to the Fair Theater in Queens, which was a lot of fun but from Philly it's not exactly convenient.
