Chrisjoci Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago So I was just wondering if anyone has used the app Signal? A guy from another site wants to chat there , but I'm wondering if it's like telegram or what's app..I hope this is the correct place to post, I don't want to get banned again. Just not sure where to post my question. Quote
ScottishBoy Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I use it with friends. It's a bit more secure than WhatsApp etc. Probably just a guy who values tech security 1 Quote
Chrisjoci Posted 5 hours ago Author Report Posted 5 hours ago The guy said he wants to share a cock and show his gratitude financially. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Usually the scammers want me to use telegram. Quote
cub84 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago As ScottishBoy says, Signal is a more secure app for messaging than general SMS messaging, iMessage, WhatsApp or Telegram. It's independent of the big tech platforms and open source, and is increasingly used by journalists, activist and others that are privacy concerned. It is recommended by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in their suveillance self-defence guidance ([think before following links] https://ssd.eff.org/module/communicating-others). While Telegram is perhaps more well known and certainly referred to more on here, Signal is more secure as it is end-to-end encrypted by default. Unless you use Telegram's "secret chat" your messages with others are not fully encrypted, group chats/channels are also not encrypted. Quote
