    That's exactly my point right there. Timing for a lot of us tend to suck, so if we can find something that's preferably immediately or in just an hour or two, then it's not as much of an issue, BUT when it's something that's an extended amount of time, then you're running the risk of the meet up not happening/turning sour fast.

    There was someone who did get the bug, despite being a strict top, so it's just like anything else, there's low risk, but the chance to catch it is still there, just not so high. I'd say it's almost like (from what I've seen and heard lately), around below 10% chance of getting it. Not so bad, but still a surprising shot of catching it, just like with a condom, nothing's going to be 100% sure of nothing happening.

    True enough for that. It's part of my saying "wait and see". After all the times we've "had a cure" like bearbandit said, it shows that they're doing what they can, but ultimately, it keeps failing. So, at least with this little bit of discovery, that's something, so we'll definitely have to keep tabs and see if there's a glimmer in this situation, or if it's another bust. Hopefully the former.

    I'm glad to see you're taking all we said to heart, so definitely, when things get cleared up enough for you mentally, see someone who can guide you through it all since, as you pointed out, you've got a lot of demons to face. Not just having HIV, but also demons that's been eating away at your right to have true balance, instead of a forced fed one that's not the true you.

    I'm not POZ myself, but I just met up with a new friend who is and is now undetectable. The main thing that made me happy to hear from him is that he does have a bio-hazard tattoo on his ankle, but it also has a date that he himself calls his "survival date". You see, he's a gay navy officer and instead of going through the motions of angst and the "could've/would've/should've" he just goes like normal, treating it as if it's a part of him, regardless of how it happened and all. Really, the best you can do is just treat it as if it's a part of you now and do your best to not over think the whole situation. It's always going to be rough with sudden changes, so there's no escape from that, but the main thing you can face now is what's probably a new lease on life that you can do on your own terms, instead of having to be shackled to so many things that more than likely, subconsciously, made you unhappy. I wish I could say some more to try and help, but that's at least a start and definitely wish you the best for it all.

    That's really the only thing that can be done to be more at ease, is to meet up in some place that's at least public. Before even thinking about getting started, try to get to know them a little to get a feeling if they're good or they're all around bad. If at all, any time you feel unease about it, just back out and walk away, that definitely means they're not right for you at all.
