In SF DoxyPEP study they saw 55%ish reduction in gono with DoxyPEP. So there's that... 75-80%ish for syphilis and clam

Called one medical here in SF and they were up to date with the recommendations. Was advised to take 200mg after the action and that's it. Rx sent to Walgreens and in hand. Amazing

You are behind swabbed in mouth,ass and dick? Dick can be done with "first catch urine" too. Slightly less sensitive sample but so so much comfortable for the patient. 

This is nice. Been doing doxy prep/pep in clandestine form for a few years. Every doctor I tried refused to issue Rx for it so had to get it some other ways (Mexico trips!)

This is really not true for PCR testing of Chlamydia and gonorrhea. These two will turn PCR + very early on in the samples if there's infection. I've seen/experienced as early as 2-3 days. At the week mark you are guaranteed a PCR + if infected. You are sampling the bug directly. it's not like it's hiding anywhere and PCR is very sensitive. 

Very true for all sorts of other testing:

HIV 4th gen ab+antigen= starting at 2 weeks

HIV PCR= starting at 1 week 

Syphilis RPR/VDRL ~month

Gono/chlam ab testing/culture test = useless.

But yeah, if you are gonna test them all in one go and there are no symptoms better wait at least a month.

It's pretty clear Apretude (injectable PrEP) is not as effective as daily oral PrEP (Truvada or Descovy) for people with good adherence. There are clear breakthrough cases in the studies, and  there's no question whatsoever about adherence with injectable. Daily oral PrEP, if subject can adhere to regimen is really 100% protective with extremely rare breakthrough cases.

So the TLDR; if you can take a pill a day efficacy is higher with oral. For the bunch of people of the population when daily adherece is a problem or not desired, injectable still offers very high protection.

Vaccinated people can't spread the disease. It contains a version of the vaccinia virus
(same family as monkeypox and smallpox), that while live can't replicate, thus can't infect other cells or others.

I've had gono many times. I'd say about 50% of the time is asymptomatic.  In the mouth is very mild but you get a bit of a scratchy throat. In the bum just feels like your hole is not normal and feels like puckering up all the time (clam feels the same). In the dick usually you may get a white discharge.

I'd assume the less case count for Descovy is due to the fact that is less prescribed regularly. I've been on Descovy for a bit and always wondering how effective really is. 

Also, the numbers for cabotegravir/apretude are not that great (compared to Truvada/Descovy). 7 cases when adherence is not an issue. I guess for those who can't do oral adherence much better than nothing.

I spend a lot of time in Spain indeed. I was actually caught in one of the raids in Madrid and it is NOT fun. As professional as the cops were trying to be we all knew we had been profiled.  At some point, The Ring Private was being raided every other week, ( that's why they lost most of their clientele) Ring Private now will check your socks (it's naked venue) before going downstairs to make sure you don't have anything. 

I think they've calmed down a bit now that tourists are back in full swing and cops have better things to do. But just comes to show how vulnerable we are as a community even in a supposedly safe haven as Spain.

The illegality of poppers/pot in spain in public venues and street was established with the "Ley de proteccion de seguridad ciudadana" in 2015 by the conservative party (PP).  It's caused a lot of problems due to pot being so common and many youth being caught with it. Current progressive goverment is trying to change the law to make it more permissive.

It's supposed to be valid nationwide but enforcement was unheard of or very rare. It's definitely province dependent with Madrid taking it more serious than other places. Catalonia/Canary Islands/Andalucia is simply not enforced or selectively enforced. In Madrid, during the pandemic, police had tons of fun raiding normal gay bars and saunas multiple times per week. It's been gross. Sauna Octopus, where older mature can be found, was routinely raided and many older folks got fined just for popper use. The cops rush in the sauna and force everyone to come out and check one by one locker's to see if they got anything. Same process in bars, a bunch of cops rush in screaming "nobody move!" so no one tosses drugs on the floor. then everyone is searched and patted individually. Madrid is tilking heavily conservative lately and really dislike gay stuff. Govmnt entities, including police, feels it's their duty to enforce dumb laws like this one. Also during pandemic, police was just bored and didn't have anything better to do, This was a great way to pass time for them.

The BB scene in Spain is IMHO one of the best in Europe. We have tons of BB fuck centers. Madrid, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Torremolinos, Sitges... all with dozens of places to try and learn. Thus, Spain needs its own subforum here! @rawTOP

I'm sort of local to Madrid and I've done most of these sites you mention many times over

The best places without any kind of doubt to get loads are:

* Dark room of Sauna Octopus. Afternoons 4-8pm. Just grab a hard cock, suck it and in seconds man is playing with your ass and breeding you. It's dark, but works. Avg 4-5 loads for me/evening.
* Firewood on sundays. Just a the best cruise bar on sundays to everything else by a long long long shot. Great play spaces and people fucking bare everywhere. A few condom pullers but easy to ignore. People are not picky and are there to play. 

Special mentions:

Hot - Hot IS a fantastic bar. but as of a few weeks ago dark room downstairs was closed. 

Sauna Paraiso - really younger crowd. bears usually get nothing. place gets raided by police all the time. don't bring poppers.

Attack Club - Very hit or miss. Barely anyone fucks. Younger drugged up crowd.

Cage - cage is fun, you just have to get into it. I totally recommend naked days if that's an option. Check busiest times on google as it's pretty dead most of the time but fun when not.

Strong - Strong is fun. you do have to work quite a bit to get loads but they happen. can swap between the dance space and cruise area.

Avoid:

The Ring Private - This place is now absolutely pathetic. Filled with picky queens walking around for eternity and no one does anything. Everyone looking for the blue prince for a fuck. It was fun pre-pandemic but most of the interesting clientele hasn't come back. Friday's was their day.

Meat Rack - same as Ring Private. Tons of young picky dudes walking around. Hot action is very very far and between. 

Boyberry - Really boring for me. typical dressed cruise bar, people very picky. 

Sauna Center - mostly empty

Centerbeash sauna - Really dead town most of the time. 

Principe is closed forever sadly. was fun.

Don't have much info on the other places you mentioned.

A big BUT. It's technically illegal to be in possesion of poppers and marihuana (and more) in the "public way" or "public venues" in Spain. That includes bars, saunas and the street.  It's a 600 euro fine for first offence. If you are a foreigner it's fine as it's unenforceable for them. But I've heard of plenty of cases where they've got the fine in the mail. 

The only place where I've heard any kind of enforcement of this law is in Madrid where the police does sauna raids and sometimes even regular bars just for fun. Plenty of people caught with poppers, pot, ...

Europe is now doing 1/5. Same evidence as before, antibody levels are the same with cutaneous shot at 1/5. If that translates into same real world efficacy no one knows.

Hitting 5 weeks here since first lesions appeared and while scabs are off and new skin has come in I'm starting to think the remaining marks are gonna pretty noticeable.
