so I would recommend for keeping in contact with a large number of people, use either a mobile messaging app like WhatsApp or a mailing list like Google groups As for collecting fees or money upfront to start the stuff I would say either use GoFundMe or system called patreon and then later on if you want to collect monthly fees you could switch to an actual payment processor like Stripe/PayPal and use a free mobile app to manage it all.
