oh trust me, as a fat guy, I get that too. It sucks, and is pervasive, but seems distinct from the other stuff.

There's a big difference between a shaved chest and a racial identity, though, no? And I think the issue I'm seeing is one of a trend, not just an individual preference. Re: the gendered thing, I don't see a problem with wanting to be femme, etc. but I do see a problem when it is linked to wanting to be degraded...as though being feminine or a sissy is shameful...
