They may have been bear parties. I can't really remember. Does anyone know what party I'm talking about? They were loads of fun. Held on Saturday afternoons. When visiting NYC, I’ve enjoyed play parties by Lodge NY who hosts “themed” parties in a couple different venues. The one on W 37th is my fave. Have been to the Bear Party and Workmen’s Lunch parties several times. Though they’re scheduled for 3 hours, get there right at the start because they often are very busy then, um, peter out as it were, after a couple hours.
