It would be cool if we did something like "Breeding Zone" meets where someone organizes an event for everyone to get together in certain regions. Things to do in the city, bath houses or stuff to go to and sex parties or something like that. That way people can find each other in their area or travel if somethings going on.

Breeding Zone is now an official sponsor of CumUnion. You're going to see them promoted more heavily on the site (we're just getting all the promotional stuff worked out). We've been trying to find a way to measure the effectiveness of the promotions here. I'm wondering if armbands, like I had for MAL wouldn't make sense. They'd be available for free upon request when you enter the party. The number of armbands requested/given out would give us a rough idea of how many of the guys here go to those parties. And it would help you guys identify each other. Plus, over time it would help get the word out about Breeding Zone to "the right kind of people".

Now, on a practical level, the community here has critical mass because it's global. But right now (a bit after 7am Eastern) that just means 35-40 people actively visiting the site... (Click images to see bigger versions.)

Even if you look at something like the Northeast US it doesn't look so bad...

But when you zoom into a particular city, even a big one like New York, you see there really aren't that many people...

There's only 6 people on the site right now from New York, and only 2 of those are registered users. Mind you, it is 7am. I'll try to remember to get new graphics tonight say around 10pm or so.

So at a CumUnion party there will probably only be a few of you with armbands on... But you know those few people will be fine to walk up to and talk to or walk up to and have sex with. In fact I could see people after the fact getting on here and saying "who was the bottom who was taking all those loads who had the armband on?"

If you guys want me to make Breeding Zone armbands available at CumUnion, let me know - I think it may achieve what you're looking for in a setting that won't be as awkward as say a meet up in a bar. Thoughts?

That's so cool rawtop. I forgot that even though you are admin and blog that you are always finding ways to expand and make this forum more aware. I had no idea you were working on becoming a sponsor of cumunion. I really like the idea of doing the armbands. It looks like the ones you used for MAL were really cool. I know the cumunion in Atlanta sometimes gives out the spunk lube and sometimes dvds to people who are early. I really fucking loved the spunk lube. Now here's a question. If you are a sponsor of cumunion now will this be only for the new york cumunions since you are in NY. Or will these bands go to other cumunions around the world. Also will you get to visit other cumunions too? I know cumunion is doing more events too. The augusta one will have the first one this week. It's a perfect location being a male resort, pig pen, the tower, the maze, and the rooms. I was trying REALLY REALLY hard to go to this one too but won't be able to do stuff like that til june. Oh well the innapropriate pool party is in june I think and revolves around male adult film stars. That still sounds hella cool. But I can't imagine anything better then being at a gay resort area and having a cumunion party. And then going around the rooms, leaving the door cracked, or having your ass in the air/stroking your cock with the blinds open. The right men are there for that . Although I heard the lauderdale location does a spa or private place for theirs. And it was the following week I was there...WHY?!

Back to the original post the site I used to go to had these meets. It was like bowling, bars, going to local touristy places in the area or sometimes really fun places like meeting up at disneyworld for gay days. I know that people don't need events to hang out and get together but they do bring people together and sometimes friendships are formed. But I know sex is the main topic here. Although, it would be funny if an event did happen and people went to a resturaunt and the whole table was bug chasers, poz guys, barebackers and etc, bowling, a bar, and etc. But that's probably not needed.

Being a sponsor wasn't something I was even thinking of. It was just offered to me when I was in Phoenix at the porn conference.

Breeding Zone will be a sponsor for ALL of the CumUnions, not just New York.

There are actually logistical hurdles for the wristbands. If we send too many to a location, where will they stored between parties, etc. So, it looks like I'll send them to the national organizers and they'll include 10 of them in their monthly package to party organizers. That number will get tweaked based on how many are requested the month before. So you can ask for one upon entering and if you want additional ones for friends you can ask at the end of the night and take them if they're still available.

Given that they have about 19 parties a month, I'll probably order 1000 wristbands. That will be about a 6 month supply.

Now, the issue with the ones I did for MAL is that they're light blue (when not glowing) and light blue is hanky code for cocksucking. CumHunt (a cocksucking site) is one of the original sponsors and some of their guys actually have complained that they don't like sucking dick that just came out of someone's ass. They asked the organizers for wristbands to identify who's there just to have their cocks sucked. That never happened, but I don't feel like I can use light blue in that context. So I think I'll switch to navy, but that means it won't glow in the dark.

The first graphic was Google Analytics (which only I can see). The maps were the maps here on the site - to see them go to the submenu above, choose Community and then User Map.

Great ideas RawTop. So glad you are joining CumUnion as a sponsor. Hope to see a lot of armbands at the CumUnion in Palm Springs. I was at the last party and it was a lot of fun.

It's a great idea, I agree. I've never been to a CumUnion party though and I've never been to MAL either. I tried for the first CU party here in Philly but the invite on BBRT was never accepted. It's in a public place here but I never went as I looked at all the folks who had been approved and figured it was something I should not attend as they all had a certain look which I didn't have. The bands are still a great idea, those attending who are members here would be able to meet and have sex with others from the Zone. Go For it rawTOP, am sure they will catch on over time as more from here attend.

Agree, I like that rawTOP is sponsoring CumUnion. Sadly, that leaves places like Wisconsin (which used to have CumUnion in Madison) out. Would there potentially be another plan for some of us to organize smaller CU events in places like Milwaukee?

I can put you in touch with the CumUnion organizers, but they tend to look for people who run and promote sex parties as a full-time business. I asked whether the parties I have at events like MAL or IML could be branded CumUnion parties and the answer was 'no' - not because they didn't like me, but because I wouldn't be working out of an established sex venue. There's often a tricky balance that has to be struck with local health departments and the like, and when the party organizers aren't well known to the local cops and health department things can go horribly wrong. Case and point is what happened to Robby Mendez recently when he was thrown in jail for a party in North Hollywood (erroneously reported initially as being in Palm Springs). CumUnion has a brand they have to make sure doesn't get tarnished. If a health department in one city hears about problems in another city, then it could create all sorts of complications.

Censoring, no. Discretion, yes - but that was in the works before I got the offer to sponsor CumUnion and has nothing to do with them. Basically I'm going to make it more difficult for people casually browsing the Internet to see people discussing things like chem sex and bug chasing. But once you have access to those areas the discussion will be the same as it is now.

I've ordered the wrist bands. Here's the digital proof...

So it's light gray text on a dark gray band. It'll be debossed and color filled. The text is the same font as the Breeding Zone logo - though it doesn't look as good when it's all out in a row. I moved away from doing glow-in-the-dark and went with a color palette that's more in line with this site.

For $10 more I could have put a second message on the band. I thought about repeating the logo, but decided against it. I was holding off ordering - trying to figure out a phrase. Then this morning in the shower (a day after ordering the bands) it came to me... "BAREBACK ONLY". The idea being they'd be in a box or bowl as people checked in and that way the safe sex guys would know that person doesn't want to use condoms. But the purpose of that band is very different it would be to identify Breeding Zone members it would be for marketing purposes so guys who are only into bareback would know about the site.

So for now we'll just run with the original idea - a band to identify members. In the future I may do a more marketing oriented band. So if you get one of the membership bands hang on to it.
