Thank God, because I am not a bug chaser and I don't want to become positive either. However, I like barebacking and it is a huge turn on for me. As a teenager and young adult I was *very* careful about HIV. Always using condoms, not taking sperm in my mouth. Then I started to fuck without a condom as a top. Then I took cum in my mouth but spit it out. Then I finally started getting fucked bareback. And eventually I started to swallow cum (but not very often). However, what I always paid attention to is that no top ever came inside me. This week I tested negative again. And I'm quite happy about that. I know that people say you can also contract HIV as a top, but let me tell you I have definitely fucked about 1.000 guys. So I believe it is not that really impossible to contract HIV as a top unless the bottom you fuck has someone else's cum inside him (which is another thing I tried to avoid). Also, taking cum in your mouth doesn't seem to be very dangerous (unless you have a wound in your mouth). The only thing that seems to be really dangerous is taking cum up your ass, which is what I never let anybody do. There were only two occasions that a guy came in my ass because I didn't say anything and they were so quick. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with people who may also like barebacking but do not want to be infected! So maybe these are some strategies to minimize the risk. I used to up until about 20 always topped, and I decided one day to take it instead, and needless to say have never looked back. And I think this pretty much nails it. Of course this isn't a 100% safe tip but it might be a good strategy for people who like bareback but still try to stay negative. I've estimated that I've taken at least 1,500 loads and I'm still HIV-neg. I would have to agree that it's not easy for the HIV virus to infect someone. I think of myself as being lucky because I know that many HIV+ guys never had the amount of sex I've had but at the same time I know that if I keep barebacking I shouldn't be surprised if I pozed. You can't generalise from that: I know guys who got HIV after just a few fucks. I don't doubt your individual experiences, but they're all anecdotal. Just because tenofovir turned poisonous for me doesn't mean that everyone should come off PrEP: it was just my good luck, in the same way as your staying negative has been your good luck. As an incidental, I personally believe that the rates for transmission via oral sex are inflated by guys who'll go as far as saying they sucked someone off, but won't tell the truth about getting fucked. As I said, just my experience but seeing that scientists and doctors can only rely on what they can reproduce in their labs, I think my experience is also something that can be considered.
