The whole premise seems like it will not take off. I mean who is going to be trolling Grindr and etc looking for these supposed stealth barebackers that must be reported to stop the spread of HIV that is destroying our community as the pathetic person who started that site seems to think is happening. The real story is more likely he cannot get a poz load in his fat pathetic ass so he is bitter and wants to get back at everyone who turned his ugly ass down. Cause I sure don't see those kind of poeple online like he says and I am not going to make myself some snitch bitch based on assumptions and I doubt others will either.

That said the site is somewhat alarming in it's false claims against those who are HIV+ and those who bareback which last I checked were both not illegal to be or do in the US. That revenge porn site guy eventually got busted so this guy hopefully meets the same fate.

That is quite possibly the least likely scenario anyone could imagine.

More likely would be someone who was stealthed, straight man (men) who enjoy gay bashing, a self loathing closet case, and an angry wife who caught her man cheating, spring to mind for me. I mean this is some serious intent on revenge, that doesn't happen just because you can't get laid.

And in another direction, how BAD is this decision on the part of the person who is running that site. I mean, you are talking TONS of potential legal issues. Using someone's pictures without permission, targeting people for violence, and the unknown variable of whether the pictures are of the person. I mean, it is the internet, it's not like guys using someone else's pics and pretending to be someone you are not is unheard of.

So to go to these lengths, the time, trouble, expense, and potential legal ramifications, would clearly indicate someone that is incredibly impulsive and reckless, or someone who realizes what they are doing, and is angry enough to accept the potential consequences. Either way, its not just a dangerous site, the people/persons behind it are as well.

It should be able to be done under hate-crime legislation, as it's obviously targeting only gay people, despite unprotected sex being something profuse across all sexualities.

Young straight people only use condoms 50% of the time (that's not 50 don't use; that's across the whole spectrum, they use them as often as they don't). The bit about outing people with HIV comes from Tom's hyperbole (and frankly I'm a little embarrassed about that even if he is a friend).

The "damniing" conversation behind one of the profiles contains only what they've said, without any reply from the guy they posted it to so you could well be right about the motive being homophobia. Someone (who I only know by his screen name elsewhere) has posted a picture of Miss Piggy - satire is probably the best weapon.

As long as they're posting profiles of guys I think we have a duty to warn guys in the region that this is happening lest they fall into the same entrapment, which is why the guys who reported the site to the police have stayed off the subject on Twitter tonight.

As far as I can see this site is still up but hosted in another country now. He's definitely Newcastle based but I have no idea who. Sick fuck. He says he's exposing cheats and guys who are lying about status but there are photos of guys who actually say they are poz on their Grindr profiles and being open about it.

I think we can afford to relax a bit: the tabloids haven't got wind of the site and there's been no activity even on their twitter account - they took a screenshot from this site comprising someone else (I can't remember who) and my followup message complete with avatar. Like I'm going to worry: I appeared on TV in the late eighties on a medical show as "the one what's got it" I've done enough TV work as the poz guy not to be worried (though last time I did a piece for Wales Today I had a neighbour phone me demanding to know why I'd let them film in my living room without letting her tidy it up a bit)

A friend who lives in the Newcastle area has confirmed that he knows several of the guys targetted. For myself I changed my Grindr profile to something like "If you can't cope with my HIV we won't get on" which has greatly reduced the number of "Hey Daddy, poz me up" messages.

The site actualy changed servers three times (I think) in one evening when the shit hit the fan, then they tried to "legitimise" the project by adding a link to the PROUD study. I've been watching the page and seen that it hasn't changed in the past several weeks. My concern is for the four guys still shown on the site: I'm quite happy to talk with you guys about my sexual habits, wants and needs, but I don't thing I'd want them on a static web page.

The writer of the site appears to have bought into the idea that all poz guys are desperate to spread it as though it was a biological imperative. I suspect it's someone recently diagnosed working through their anger, while forgetting their own complicity in their own infection. There are a group of us in the UK informally monitoring the situation. I just wish we could get rid of that last from page...

I have a little more information (knowing someone in the area where they're centred) on the possible writer of the site which suggests sociopathic tendencies on the part of the site author. There was a late additiion to the site in the form of a link to the PROUD study (PrEP testing - I really don't see why we need to repeat what you guys in the USA have proven) - which I see as a late bid for respectability.

They've been at that address since early February, but nothing has changed on the page since then. My concern is for the last four guys on the page. And I completely agree with your assessment of the mentality if the guy who started this: I know that THT (principal charity here) has had some dealing with them (basically along the lines of "get the fuckin page down now - this is not how to run a safer sex campaign") but I don't know any of the details. But then I'm a thorn in THT's side with my stress on PrEP, TasP, and the fact that condoms aren't necessary...

Yes I was too quick to post a reply. Read the first few bits of the thread, went of to view the site & read their twitter feed. Came back here and posted before reading the rest of the thread.

Guess this was just one more case of being a little too quick to hit "Send" or "Post." We've all done that, right?

The stigma and prejudice against a Poz guys is so incredibly high. Think of how many profiles you read that refer to themselves as "clean." If they're "clean" what does that make me? DDF equates me to the crack addict who'll steal your wallet while your pants and down. It seats me beside the heroine addict shooting up in an alley. Dehumanizing language like Diseased, Infected, and Unhealthy leads to people hiding their status. It also makes people choose to NOT get tested. After all, who wants to find out they're not "Clean." Though I'll admit I at least got a smile out of "walking petri dishes.'

It just drives me nuts how people respond to us. For some reason the first thought that enters the mind for a large portion of Neggies is "You're mad as hell at the world for getting HIV, and you're trying to get even by infecting as many people as possible." I always wonder about those guys. Is that what they'd do if they got it? They thought of it first. Remind me again, which one of us is supposed to be the sociopath?

But other threads show that cumslutfordaddy has 100% bought into that mentality.

Now considering that cumslutfordaddy is now calling himself an escort, and his plan is to upcharge for barebacking (admittedly once he gets on PrEP), I find it odd that he is throwing stones at a bottom who goes to the tubs.
