One of those neighbourhoods is around Motzstrasse (Schoeneberg area), lots of bars around, another one around Greifenhagener Strasse (Schoenhauser Allee area). Also interesting are Berghain / lab.oratory (Friedrichshain area near Ostbahnhof station). For accomodation it could be wise to look for a cheap b&b / hostel some minutes to walk away, gay friendly spots also available.

Advice: Have a look to the forum 'Regional Hookup Forums' -> 'Berlin Metro Area' for some reports on bars and clubs from visitors :)

Have fun during your stay!

Hey guys- I was there in Nov as some of you may have read ( a little food poisoning mid week killed the last 3 nights for me ) I don't think this would be a violation , but RawTop forgive it if it is- I hunted hotel rooms for a couple of weeks on all the normal sites-Kayak, etc- and then stumbled onto a site off a gay bar link- Berlin.com The same hotel I had been seeing for $600 USD for 6 nights, plus taxes, was available on the Berlin site for a TOTAL of $312 for the same exact booking. Maybe I got lucky , as it was only 4 days out till my travel- but the price was a great price- and the hotel ( Quentin Design) was a 4 star- en suite bathroom too ! ( how nice when dealing with hosing out for play or when dealing with the runs ) The Quentin is in the Schoeneberg neighborhood- 4 doors to the left of its front door is Scheune bar, the leather/rubber store CODE is just next to the hotel, Kit Kat gay club is across the street. Reitzbar is ripe for raw action and is about 6 doors up from Scheune, Mutchmanns is 1 block up from the hotel (I was loaded 11 times and fisted 2x on my 1st night in the city in the basement of Mutchmanns <g>). For Landless and any others new to Berlin- at the airport, you can take the Airport city bus in to the Zoologic Gardens station, then get underground there and head up 2 stops to Nollendorf Platz station-- the gay zone is 2 short blocks up from the station, very easy to walk- and the same fare paid for the bus ( I believe it was about 3 Euro) works for the U Bahn ( underground/subway)
