lj1987 Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 It's a hypothetical question: suppose se if someone on prep is slammed by a poz guy, how effective is prep in fighting off the HIV virus?
Johnny84 Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 80 to 90 % chance the neg guy won't get anything i am on prep and been fucked by a poz guy was great and still neg 1
lj1987 Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 But slamming is blood going directly into the veins... not sure how the risk factors increase by that
Guest Dickmagnet Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 It sure sounds like a little bit reverse psychology = why take Prep if you want to blood slam with a poz guy ?

He factored in the increased risk. Truvada works by interrupting the replication of the virus at two stages in the process. One of the ways it offers protection is that after a week or so, your anal tissue is saturated with the meds. You're bypassing that protection, but it is still in your blood interfering with the replication process. 1
