How to stop email notifications of new images posted

I get an email notification every time a new image is posted by certain members to their gallery.  How do I opt out of these email notifications?  I did not follow the galleries, but I am following the members; do I need to unfollow the members?   thanks

If you are following a member, you will get a notification every time they do anything. You will need to unfollow people.
