They're going way over the top. Just look at all this! Royal Navy Flag Ship, HMS Ark Royal, to be scrapped immediately. RAF Harrier Fleet to be cut, so the Navy aircrarft carriers, wont have any carriers to fly from them! The Nimrod is being scrapped, and that means that RAF Kinloss will close - a HUGE hit to the local economy up there. And there's more to come in the full briefing at 3.30pm BST... this is truely disturbing news. Britain is about to become a much much weaker Military power.... Moreover, given the enormous United States deficit, one must wonder how much longer we can afford to maintain our military. I have read that's one of the reasons the military likes bomb-dropping drones - they're relatively cheap, and relatively effective. The best bang for the buck, pun intended.
