From what I have read, many STD's die after leaving the body, unless it is by direct contact onto say an open wound or other entry way into the body. The only exception is herpes that is reported to live 4 hours after it has left the human body.

Used rubbers are tons of fun. The problem usually isn't what you find in the bag, but where the bag has been. Most STDs die when exposed to air or that fucking spermocide, but if the hole it came out of had Hep, Herpes, or Amebic parasites.... the there is some risk.
