If you are on a budget- here is another slant- stay at the Motel6 on Indian Canyon and Ramone-- it is 1 block away from the ToolShed ( handy if you think you might over indulge) and is 3 blocks from the busy cruise street of Warm Sands. WiFi is $3 a day, the room prob about $45. During the week, most of the gay resorts will be pretty low occupancy, so if you get a room at one and only 3 other rooms are rented, you could be laying out $150 a night for next to notheing. Most of the PS area guesthouses do day passes, so you can stay cheap at Motel6 and hit one or two of the gay clothing optional places on a $10 pass, and enjoy the sun and any guys who might be there. In Cathdral City, CCBC is ( was at least) $15 for a day or nightpass ( yes, you can walk the prop all night on a nightpass if you so desire) And they have a bunkhouse with a sling in it.

I did the Motel6 when I was out 19 months ago, and working withthe internet managed to get 4 or 5 drop by walk ins a day to come by and seed my ass. {Heres the thing: during the week PS is pretty quiet-- the guys of LA and SanDiego work too- and don't generally head to the desert until Fri night, most leave Sun afternoon, or early Monday. And the gay resorts are staffed by local men; so a guy who is fucking around on his husband is not as likely to want to have to walk in to the front desk and have them call you to escort him back to your room for a fuck- b4 his cum has run down your leg the gaygossip line would be whistling with the details} The Motel 6- guys can drive in from the street, park in front of your room door, and walk in unnoticed- fuck , and split. One other thing to consider- during the week, construction crews tend to stay there , so you might get some trade-- on the weekends, the Marines come down from 29 Palms and pack 5 or 6 to a room and let off some steam ( and once they are tipsy, they are a favorite food of the local gay men who drop by and eat their loads)

Wammt- my pleasure. And if any of you guys get into hiking and nature- you really have to give a day to driving up to Joshua Tree and exploring. About 30 miles east of Palm Springs, it is high desert ( figure 20-30 degrees cooler) and looks like a lunar landscape. Speaking of lunar- if you happen to be in Palm SPrings AND the full moon- do Joshua Tree at dusk- I pull off on the Old Dale Mining Rd ( loose sand and hardpack gravel) and get back to where I have a full view of the eastern horizon-mountains to the left and right framing the view. When it is dark,the sky is awesome- and then, just seconds b4 the moon breaks the horizon, the mountains to the north glow silver, and suddenly the entire eastern horizon is a solid longline of orange as the moon crests the edge of the earth. Sort of a zen moment, even better if you are naked ( extra points if you are getting bred too) <g>

BTW- re the Motel 6-- if you men think about doing this- be aware there are TWO Motel 6 within a mile of each other- you want the one right next to Ramone- the other is heading towards Cathedral City and isn't in the heart of the city

I have stayed at CCBC (the largest--close to tool shed, but away from Warm Sands and major resorts) and CAMP Palm Springs a number of times. Both have websites for guys to check out, some have pictures and/or webcams.

CCBC-- Largest resort, pool, 2 hot tubs (one shaped like a dick and balls) the "nature Walk" area (behind the rooms and guys cruising to have sex outdoors. There is a "Dungeon" area with a sling and another "barn" type structure by the back lockers that have video porn playing and a few areas to play. Most weekends have some type of "Theme" check their website for specifics.

Camp Palm Springs -- smaller -- about 30 rooms total, back room has a sling, bed and gloryhole. Also has an unused outdoor Gym area. The place can be seedy at times and the rooms could use an upgrade for the prices they charge, but every room on the second floor has hooks in the ceiling for guys who bring their own sling. Otherwise, the rooms are basic like motel-6, but about $100 - $150 more per night.

Helios Resort has hosted Bareback-RT Retreats more than once ... so VERY Bareback friendly... but only about 12 rooms, not very big resort, but EXCEPTIONAL Outdoor play areas -- multiple outdoor slings and a play area with a few lockers near the front.

Canyon Boys Club -- only went on a day pass Once -- During the Black/Latino Adult Film Stars Award ceremony/weekend. The resort fills up quick -- especially this weekend in April or May. It was small, has an outdoor play area, including some trees/play areas... but very few people were playing. Most were Adult film stars.. and VERY Hot to look at... but little action. Some brought their boyfriends... and did not play. Many seemed to play Safe, if at all. I went back to CCBC to be a Slut.

Wow! I had no idea the possibilities just a couple of hours away. Thanks so much for the tips. Now I just have to convince my Top(who is shy) to give it a try. We are sooo on a budget so the Motel 6 idea makes this a reasonable trip. Have lots of questions, Top is 30 and I am 46 am I too old? Camp Palm Springs has gone downhill and has been up for sale. Don't expect much for what they charge, and the sex action can be minimal, even for their CumUnion weekends. CCBC has the best grounds and plenty of places to have sex - video rooms, sling rooms, outdoor army area, cruising paths - whereas Camp PS just has one sad little sling room. However, CCBC is famous for grandpas and trolls, not that there's anything wrong with taking their loads. ;-) Wednesday is a busy night, as they give us locals discounts for day/night passes.

The best option for a somewhat younger (20s-40s) crowd is All Worlds, with a renovated sling room and small gloryhole maze, and outdoor fuck spaces. And they have redone their rooms and spruced the place up, and is popular and busy on weekends. Canyon Club has also been renovated and has an amazing fuck garden and sling room, but again, can be sometimes empty. Helios is good for their organized sex parties once a month, but with just 11 rooms, don't expect too much action anytime else.

Note that all the above places are the only ones in PS that offer day passes now - and thus, are the busiest and cruisiest. At all the other gay resorts, you'll just by fucking whoever else happens to be renting a room at the same time you are. ;-)

Quick note: I plan on being at CCBC for the Bears of LA event being held the weekend of September 14. Depending on how my dispatching works out, I may be there a day or two earlier. My truck will be parked nearby, adding to opportunities for play there too (anyone want to shoot some porn in it? )
