How old when your pubic hair appeared?

Interesting question, I'm shocked so many of you remember, I have no idea. Never thought about it until I read the question, can't recall. Wasn't a big deal to me, probably why I started trimming in college. Prefer groomed pubes to full on natural.

I want to say it was my bush but I don't distinctly remember.  Today, I consider myself moderately hairy (chest etc.)  But I was fixated on pubes when I was a kid, especially armpits.  Actually, I love a guy's pits to this day and mine aren't particularly hairy.  At the time, I thought I was a late bloomer and I'd never hit puberty.  In retrospect, I probably wasn't especially late but a few guys of certain ethnicities (Italian, Greek, etc.) just naturally were hairy early.  I used to gauge who was able to shoot by how hairy their legs/pits were.

I remember as a freshman in HS, there was a kid in my class who had a full beard (facial hair wasn't allowed but it was obvious he shaved his face.)  I didn't shave until 18 so I was jealous as hell.

I'm shocked to read about the guys who were self-conscious because they developed EARLY.  I was a precocious kid but this was pre-Internet and I had no brothers so I rarely saw guys naked.  Consequently, I was super worried that I was late.

My first bf, in my early 20's, was Latino and VERY hairy.  I used to joke about shaving him.  One time, after an argument, he decided to surprise me and he Nair'd himself (how could I possibly remain mad at him after that?)  He called me a few minutes later in a panic because it was burning.  I'll never forget when I next saw him naked.  Ribcage up:  Gorilla.  Below that, hairless.  I tried to talk him into doing the top half but no go.  Maybe I should have picked another argument 🙂

Years later, we became Facebook friends and I learned he was undergoing chemo.  I (half) joked that I wanted pics.

I was a pretty boy, effeminate and bullied so I wasn't ready to accept  any masculinity as it seemed alien to me.  However  I was horny for hairy men and always checking them out.  Now as an adult apart from my thick stubble I'm naturally smooth. My arms and asscheeks and chest are totally smooth. I do have a happy trail but wish  I  had a hairy chest and some hair on my forearms and hairier legs.
